Been a fan of dance music since the early 90's then as most in the 2000's i took the plunge into Djing. My style is long progressive mixes although i do mix most genres i try not to follow the scene as i find things just get muddied with inaccurate descriptions of genres but that said there is a lot of great music out there, so here is a snapshot of my favourite styles....Hope You enjoy

Originating from sunny Bournemouth town and loving every second of dj life down on the UK South Coast is XJ. A passionate and meticulous dj whose pin point precision mixing, together with sensational tune selection has his crowds up and glued to the dance floor. XJ applies his sharp and seamless style predominantly to Drum & Bass, House, Trance and Hard Dance, but also enjoys the challenge of dabbling in other genres. XJ has had music running through his veins since birth and began getting more closely involved with music at the age of 13 when he picked up the mic and tried his hand at being an mc. After a few years on the mic XJ had the urge to mix and started messing around on a few of his friends decks. He then became a family man at an early age so XJ took some time out from the music scene and in 2005, he finally acquired his own setup. After a couple of years playing his vinyl at every chance he could get, XJ was ready to play out in his home town. He got involved with some local events and played at several Bournemouth hot spots including The Old Fire Station, Empire, Dusk till Dawn and DNA. When XJ attended university in 2010 he met a few like-minded dance music enthusiasts and together they launched their first drum and bass event Fracture in Bournemouth at the club Dusk Till Dawn. After the success of this event XJ’s passion and drive grew and the rest is history. His monthly residency at SoHo has become a regular hot spot for the local, house hungry bar hoppers. In 2017 XJ toured around Ibiza for his debut on the clubbing island, supporting the Parasol Ibiza Tour in association with Darkest Before Dawn Records. In 2018 he took his skills and sound to Ayia Napa as a resident DJ for Ayia Napa House Party hosted by House Party Events, along with house legend Junior Jack and 48 other national and international djs. In 2019 XJ returned to Ayia Napa with House Party Events alongside his fellow residents and up and coming djs Craig Knight, Franky Wah and Hot like Detroit. Next up in June 2019 will be XJs first festival slot, Home Farm Fest in Somerset, followed by his next summer booking at the largest festival in Wales: Logic Festival. The next step for XJ is production so watch this space! XJ thrives on his crowd’s reaction to his exciting musical journeys, so if you like what you hear and want to see him in action at your event get in touch. More mixes at mix-sets.com , welcome your comments there too. Twice monthly resident with Pure Progressinve at safehouseradio.co.uk, every 1st and 3rd Monday 7-9pm GMT,, please check it out. I've been djing as a mere resident in local pubs and clubs since the late 80's early 90's.I LIVE for dance music and although I love the dance classics, I love the way dance music has progressed and the current dance music scene seems to have come full circle reintroducing old skool in modern dance music such as Deep House etc.But there is one particular stye(sorry 2 styles) of music that to me has vastly progressed (excuse the pun/s), and that is Trance and Progressive House.Along with the usual great traditional Progressive House and Trance tracks, we have now gained THIS style of Trance and Progressive House with some simply beautiful melodies, both Intrumental AND Vocal, mostly at around 128bpm and this style of Trance (and Prog House)seems to incorporate various styes of music, such as Deep House,Electro House,Future House,Piano House,Techno, Prog House and Trance. My Favourite DJ's are Above & Beyond ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cS6Hi2Avoww ),and their label DJ's like Andrew Bayer,Ilan Blunstone,Jason Ross,Maor Levi,Genix & Sunny Lax, Oliver Smith, Grum, Yotto who I believe have paved the way to this new style of Trance and other producers like Fatum,Jaytech,Farius, South Pole, Vintage & Morelli, Paul Arcane, Alex H, Oleg Farrier, Marcus Santoro plus many many more, but sadly none of which I've seen live.Maybe one day...lol.Anyway making do with the large amount of Progressive House/Trance tracks coming out at the moment make everything worth while. If anyone was wondering, yes I'm Cliffie from The Wynnie, Greyhound etc.

For the latest music and info please visit: www.facebook.com/lennyruckus www.soundcloud.com/lennyruckus for bookings e-mail: linus7k@gmail.com Lenny Ruckus (Lenny "Linus" Douglas, L7K, Freaky Fusion) has been making tracks and rocking dance floors for over 15 years. Early productions saw Lenny cutting his teeth with remixes of local dance artists and pop groups. This led to his own productions, and a refocus on a more underground sound. Support came quickly from the likes of Carl Cox, Dave Dresden, Menno de Jong, Matt Darey, Bobina, Jody Wisternoff, Darude, Mike Shiver, The Flash Brothers and more. In 2010 Lenny teamed up with Ana Vida to remix Dresden and Johnston's "That Day" featuring Nadia Ali. The remix was picked up by Menno de Jong and released on his "Intuition Sessions 2 – Rio de Janeiro" double disk cd. Lenny and Ana's massive tribal tech-house track, titled “The High Road” was named "Breakthrough Track of 2009” (as awarded by Vegas House Mafia Radio) The track was also the winner of the "D. Ramirez Unsigned Music Showcase" and recieved high accolades by Jody Wisternoff (of Way Out West) : "very very intense, a pure unadulterated dancefloor destroyer which used at the right time will leave the room in tatters" Other projects have received airplay on radio shows such as Pete Tong's Essentials Mix by Carl Cox on Radio 1. Lenny is currently working on many studio collaborations, remixes and his own original productions. Behind the decks Lenny does not disappoint, his wide range of musical interest is reflected in his sets and there is never a dull moment. His song selection and energetic mixing style leads to plenty of pumping, jumping, and hands in the air. Massive tunes that will rip and bang through the speakers are what he's all about. He's played at events from Miami to San Francisco, and you can be sure you'll be hearing much more from him this year! He is now a resident for the legendary House Nation Radio Show on 99.7 NOW FM in San Francisco.

Hey I'm André! Equipment:2 Technics 1200mk5s, 2 Pioneer CDJ 900s, Pioneer DJM 700 4 channel mixer, Vinyl :), 2 JBL 15” monitors, Klipsch 12” subwoofer. How I started spinning: When I was 15 I stumbled upon a radio station here in L.A. (103.1 KDL) that used toplayall of the club hits at that time such as: Diving - 4 strings, Something – Lasgo etc. I didn’t even know what this type of music was called, but the melodies and energy captivated me so I looked into how one “plays” it which is how I got into djing. As far as my reasons for spinning aside from loving the music, I feel a calling for me to unite people through music, so getting an uplifting emotional message across to the crowd through tunes that I love playing is very fulfilling as well as uplifting for me. If I can make peoples’ or even just one person’s night at a party through good vibes, then that’s all I want :).Reason for mixing so many styles:Well I feel that not just one genre explains or “understands” how I feel and given that there are so many aspects that make up my personality and sentiments that are ever changing, for me spinning just one isn’t as fulfilling as playing multiple. From the heavy sides of hardstyle, morbidity and rolling basslines of dark psy, to the dreamy uplifting aspects of trance, it’s impossible for me to appreciate just one style.
